What is the difference between squalane and squalene?
Squalene (with an "e") was traditionally sourced from shark liver oil, making it non-vegan. Squalane (with an "a"), the hydrogenated, stable form of squalene, is typically plant-derived. The squalane in Pink Nectar is 100% vegan!

So what is squalane?
Squalane is a lightweight, non-comedogenic oil that mimics your skin’s natural moisture, providing deep hydration without clogging pores. It helps to lock in moisture, improve skin elasticity, and enhance radiance.

Is this oil serum suitable for all skin types?
Yes! It is great for all skin types, including oily, dry, combination, and sensitive skin. It balances sebum production, hydrates deeply, and won’t leave a greasy residue. We intentionally tested this product on people that regularly have acne breakouts. They saw consistent improvements in the clarity of their skin. However, everyone’s skin is different! If you’re acne-prone, we recommend a patch test to see how it works for you.

Will this oil serum make my skin look greasy?
Your skin will definitely have a noticeable glow! But because this is a hybrid oil, you will not be 'greasy'. Squalane is a lightweight and fast-absorbing and will deliver hydration without leaving a heavy or greasy feel—just a natural, healthy glow.

Can I use this oil-serum under makeup?Absolutely! It creates a smooth, hydrated base for makeup, helping foundation glide on effortlessly while keeping your skin nourished throughout the day. You can also mix it with foundation to customize the level of coverage.
